Ted
Ted is a 26 year old registered Quarter Horse. His registered name is: "Gay Giant Killer"—don't ask. Anyway, he came from a home in Dripping Springs about nine years ago. His owner had trained him for reining as a 2 year old and then left him in her backyard for about 15 years without another horse. He developed some habits out of loneliness and boredom: windsucking and always wanting to have his lips/mouth on something like your arm, head, body, another horses' body, head, lips, etc. He thinks every new horse he meets is a friend. He is not used for lessons because of his exceptional ability to unseat riders by doing the "rocking horse" and pulling his shoulder out from under his rider. There are so many reasons we call him "Special Ted".   |
